SAFAHAIKUS II

BY CAROLINA CHEN @CarelessCarolyn, #BTO2A

I
When there's no longer
Heros, damsels nor castles
That's what we call life.

II
In the middle of
Powder hidden young facets,
Your clean face I spot.

III
Hundred years I change
For this chance to be the wind
That caress your face.

IV
Wanted summer gift
Green dress over sweet red flesh
Watermelon is.

V
Slender blue figure,
waltzing miles above the ground.
Sir, coffee or tea?

VI
With you, feeling alone.
What use of me is your being,
when your heart's long gone?

VII
Looking at the moon
No longer longing for joy.
Dreams broken too soon.

VIII
Naive little angels
Tearing away butterfly's wings,
Innocent, yet cruel.

IX
Nights with the lights up
endless work just to witness
Your approving nod.

X
Morning: eyes dropping.
Afternoon: minutes counting.
Night: sloth long time gone!

XI
It's time to hand in
Homework of Maths'n' History.
You got to help me!

XII
Tic, toc! Look! The time!
Hours facing this white paper
Thinking of a rhyme.
