STUDYING AWAY FROM HOME

BY: CRISTINA RUIZ, 2BTO-C

This academic year is finishing and soon we will have to decide our future. One of the most important questions is whether to study away from our city. We must look at both sides of the question.
One advantage of studyING away from our city is that it makes you more mature. Furthermore, it's a unique experience that will make you know many young people from other cities. In addition, when you don't live in your house, you value your parents more, especially if you rent a flat  in which you will have to do all the housework.
On the other hand,  studyING away from our city is very expensive and not all parents can afford it. Secondly, you will miss your family and friends, and even your city.
In my opinion, this is a very important decision that we should take calmly and analyze all the advantages and disadvantages.

DO YOU DECODE?

THE PROBLEM OF POLLUTION

BY: LORENA OCAÑA, 2BTO-C
Nowadays POLLUTION is a very big problem in our world. Many people think that it is true. As I see it, people would have to do some things to help the planet. Firstly, they mustn´t throw old newspapers in the street, people should recycle these newspapers to make new paper. On the other hand, a lot of people throw rubbish into the river and they pollute the environment. In my opinion, nowadays there are too many cars and factories in our towns, and I think that people needn´t use their cars everyday and they should use sometimes public transport in their towns. In conclusion, I think that people ought to do simple things to solve the problem of pollution, we must look after the planet.

YOUNG PEOPLE, ALCOHOL & DISCOS

JULIA SANCHO, 2BTO-C
I am 17 years old and feel outraged because people of our age aren't allowed in some pubs and discos. You SEE teenagers buying alcoholic drinks and cigarettes and consuming thESE in parks and public areas. For some things they treat us like children and in other areas we are considered to be adults. I think the law should be enforced so that teenagers cannot buy spirit or cigarettes illegally, especially knowing that those products are hazardous, it may not affect our body and mind now, but in the future it definitely will. They should allow teenagers to go into pubs, without selling us alcoholic drinks, but just for us to have fun with our friends. Hopefully, one day the law will change and benefit all the teenagers in Spain and also around the world.

THE INTERNET, MY OPINION

JESÚS GUIRADO, 2BTO-C
Nearly everyone thinks that they would like to have internet in a lot of places, like houses, schools, etc. However, there are also disadvantages, because internet can be problematic. We must look at both sides of the questions. It is true that if you have internet you will do a lot of interesting things, and with the internet it's very difficult that you GET bored because in the internet you can find things, jobs, information about an interesting topic, etc. On the other hand, the internet is not always good, because it produces addiction and children can find bad information. In my opinion the internet has better things than bad things. I like internet because I can do a lot of things.
